Philip C. Johnson was a Forest Service entomologist and avid amateur photographer who lived in Missoula, Montana. His collection consists of railroad photographs that he took throughout the West, with many images from the San Francisco Bay area, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia.
