Description
Henry P. Barringer was a U.S. Forest Service ranger stationed at Iron Mountain, Montana, with District #1. He fought fires during the 1910 fire season. Barringer lived at Iron Mountain with his wife, Evelyn, from at least 1909 through 1913. The collection contains a letter from Forest Service Chief H.S. Graves, to Elers Koch and the Region One forest officers, November 7, 1910; letter from H.P. Barringer to Henry J. Claffey, November 8, 1910; and H.P. Barringer's report on the 1910 Grave Creek/Trout Creek Fire, November 8, 1910.
