Description
Thain White was a Montana historian who focused on the history of western Montana, particularly the Flathead valley. The collection contains such items as maps, artifacts and documents concerning a variety of Montana historical topics. Much of the collection is composed of unpublished copies of White's historical articles, as well as notes and research material. White documented and photographed many of his excavations and artifacts and these photos compose a large portion of the collection. The Thain White Papers provide a range of original research on many popular Montana subjects.
