Description
This is the first page of a preliminary hearing against Emil Lehsou and Tom Gah violation of Montana's Alien Land Act of 1923. The act declared the selling or leasing land to Aliens ineligible for citizenship illegal. Lehsou, the son of German immigrants, and Gah were accused of allowing the "use and occupancy of land for the use and benefit of aliens." Among the immigrants identified was Harry Park, a Korean-born Hawaiian.
