From the Report of Forest Ranger H.P. Barringer and Assistant Ranger James S. Garrison: "In total about 45,000 acres burned...one large cabin on Trapper Creek was burned, this being the only private property to have been destroyed, no lives were lost, although many narrow escapes occurred. Hoping this will be satisfactory as a report from the field, preliminary to a more careful survey and estimate if so desired."
