Dorothy E. Pilley, a world-renowned British mountain climber, spent the summer of 1926 scaling Glacier National Park’s summits.  The Great Northern Railway, provider of rail service into the Park, commissioned her to write this hiking manual encouraging women to step beyond sedate sightseeing in the beautiful  mountain setting.
