As Earth Begins to End

As Goedicke's statement below indicates, As Earth Begins to End deals with the eventual end of all things on Earth and springs from Goedicke's process of accepting her husband's gradual decline.  In a 2001 interview with Donna Davis, Goedicke observes that the scope of the book, while personal, also speaks more broadly to the idea of death, both in terms of ecological decline and in terms of communal loss as well.
